If you're the lucky owner of a Presonus StudioLive mixer, then you've probably noticed the Audio Network output fitted on the rear. Coupled with the Presonus AVB-D16 AVB-Dante converter, this smart port is able deliver clean audio signals over long distances. This tight, plug-and-play unit simply converts the AVB output into Dante to send multi-channel data through a network cable at high-speeds. Since this all happens digitally, you don't get any of the antenna noise that you usually get when using long lengths of standard copper-wired cables, and conveniently, the AVB-D16 works in both directions, so everything can be converted back at the end of your Dante cable. This simple yet effective bit of kit is a definite essential when it comes to setting up networked CDL PA speakers.
